The documentary is not about DeLay's entire post-exterminator life in politics, although you get glimpses into his early career in the Texas Statehouse (when he was known as "Hot Tub" Tom). "The Big Buy" smartly focuses on the charges brought by Texas State's Attorney Ronnie Earle, who relentlessly pursued DeLay for breaking the law.
