Group of Two is the wrong number

Advocates in the United States of a Group of Two power pairing that would link Beijing and Washington in leading a new world order acknowledge China's desire for recognition as a global power. They overlook China's preference for multilateralism and the energy it is devoting to deepening ties around its northern and western borders.
